Are you living a life that feels authentic to you? Or are you trapped by the idea of being "practical," "logical," and just like everyone else?
For most of us, that playful, uninhibited self we knew as a child gets buried under the weight of adult responsibilities. We dismiss our deepest passions as "weird" or simply "not serious enough" to pursue.
But what if I told you that the things you loved most when you were little—the things you did purely for joy, outside of homework or assignments—are actually the blueprint for your truest, happiest self?
The Invitation to Authenticity
In this heartfelt episode, I share my own journey of rediscovering that blueprint.
As a child, I had an entire complex world built around my stuffed animals. I was completely obsessed with drawing The Powerpuff Girls and filling notebooks with stories about characters. It was messy, it was unassigned, and I loved every second of it.
That passion didn't disappear—it just got quiet. The noise of needing to "succeed" and make "sensible" choices drowned out the voice that knew I was called to be a creator and a storyteller.
What is Your Calling?
Many of us choose career paths or lifestyles based on external validation. We internalize the belief that we have to be a doctor, or an accountant, or follow the path of our parents. While those paths are noble, the question is: Is it your calling? Or did you choose it because it was "presentable"?
The thing that is calling out to you might be knitting, fixing cars, designing apps, or baking. It might seem strange to the people around you, but that "weird" is good. Weird is what makes us special.
Stop Striving, Start Shining
When we pursue the things that are truly authentic to us, we shine. We stop trying to squeeze ourselves into tiny, ill-fitting boxes and start living from a place of genuine purpose and play.
In this powerful episode, I challenge you to examine the dreams you let go of and the passions you dismissed.
